Children & Students

Summer Nights

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1) What if the weather is poor?

The sides of the rink are open, but a roof covers the rink, allowing us to meet regardless. If there are major thunderstorms or other conditions that force a change in schedule, we'll alert you via email, the website, Facebook group, and text alert.

2) What should I expect at the worship service?

Our live band leads us in worship songs, followed by a testimony and message from Pastor Mark or a guest speaker. Please bring a lawn chair, camp chair, or something comfortable to sit in. If you don't have chairs, that's OK - we have some extras.

3) What about the kids?

There is a preschool environment for kids 4 and under, overseen by Valley Simsbury staff. Everyone who serves our kids goes through our KidSafe process, which includes a background check. Kindergarten-Grade 5 kids have the option of attending a breakout session designed for them -- they will be dismissed to that session before the teaching begins. Kids are welcome to stay with their parents or attend the breakout session. Everyone who serves our kids has passed Valley's KidSage process, which includes a formal background check.

4) Who is welcome?

Everyone! "Summer Nights" is a great environment for friends, family, or neighbors who are curious about God and faith. Friends from other churches are also welcome to join us!

5) How can I serve?

We would love for you to share your talents and time to help make "Summer Nights" a great worship experience. Whether you are a musician, like to work with food or welcome newcomers, or would be interested in serving in our children's programs, please email simsbury@valleycommunity.cc, and we'll help you get connected.

6) What if I have more questions?

Email us at simsbury@valleycommunity.cc, and we will followu p as soon as possible. Or just come join us at Simsbury Farms and look for someone wearing a lanyard that says "Connect." They'll be happy to answer your questions!
