Welcome

Welcome to Valley Community Baptist Church. We are one church in multiple locations with campuses in Avon and Bristol, CT. Our mission is to honor God and grow in Christ by worshipping God, equipping believers, bringing people to Christ and serving our neighbors. We would be honored to have you join us

There are also special events like summer camps, student retreats and the family summit that will help children and parents grow in their relationships with each other and God.

Sermons

Valley Bristol

Living Room Christmas Outreach Service

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16, AT 6:15 P.M., BRIDGE COMMUNITY CHURCH

Please mark your calendars for a special night with Valley Bristol at Bridge Community Church, 43 School St. in Bristol. Our Christmas Service will feature glorifying worship, Christmas celebration, baptisms, and community outreach all wrapped up in one service! Here are the details:

Living Room Christmas is Outreach. At 5 p.m. before the service, there will be a special dinner for five Bristol families who otherwise would not have the means to celebrate Christmas with a special meal and presents. Ten Valley Bristol "sponsor" families will provide these things, along with sharing the Gospel and the love that truly came down when God sent His Son to dwell among us. If you would like to sponsor a family, just email us!

Living Room Christmas is Worship. Our service will feature great music as we praise and pray in celebration of the season.

Living Room Christmas is Sharing the Gospel. The full significance of Jesus' birth, and what it means for us today, will be shared with all.

Living Room Christmas is Testimony. We will have baptisms at the service, as a number of Valley Bristol attenders will testify publicly that they wish to follow Jesus for the rest of their lives.

We hope you include Valley Bristol's Living Room Christmas Outreach Service in your holiday plans. Please consider sponsoring a family, too. If you have questions, don't hesitate to email us.

Join Us This Week

SUNDAY | 10 a.m. | Greene-Hills School  |  718 Pine St.  |  Bristol, CT

Yeah, our Bristol Campus church meets in a gym. Sound strange? Perhaps, but we're informal, authentic, and just trying to keep it real. Just like you. We have no pews, no hymnals, no steeples. We're a bunch of people getting together and getting closer to God through the Bible. As one of our new attendees said: "Valley is refreshingly modern, relaxed, and welcoming of everyone -- imperfections and all." So join us this week at Greene-Hills School in Bristol, Connecticut, even if you're not so much about this whole church thing. We believe God has a plan for you. There's a chair awaiting you in our gym.

What about my kids?

Our trained and background-checked volunteer teachers and helpers offer a great Children's Ministry program at our Bristol Campus. We offer age-appropriate learning environments for the smallest of babies up through fifth grade. Dedicated teachers for newborns/walkers, 2s and 3s, and Pre-K / Kindergartners will be ready for your children starting at 9:45 a.m.

Your first- through fifth-grader will enjoy some great music and prayer at the beginning of the service, then they will head over to their communities (or, if you prefer of course, they can stay for the message). We also have a Middle School Ministry during that time. If you have children in fifth grade or younger, allow yourself a few extra minutes so you can check them in if they're attending one of our terrific Children's Ministry areas. If you have questions about our children's programs, please contact Paul Semanski by email or at 860.673.6826 x113.

What should I expect? What should I wear?

We believe that every Sunday should start with a smile. Our experienced Welcome Desk volunteers are there to make sure you know where to go. If you have children, check them in, and then follow the crowd down to the school gym. Wear something totally comfortable or your "Sunday Best" -- doesn't matter to us! Your wardrobe, church background or politics don't matter to us. We're here to grow deeper in God and worship Jesus.

Our campus leaders will gather all of us together and launch us into a time of praise and prayer. You can sing along with the live band or just consider the words on the screen. We'll have an offering time, but if you're visiting please just pass the plate on -- you're our guest and there's no pressure to do anything. We just invite you to have an open heart and consider what God might be saying to you on any given Sunday (or any day!).

After the service, there is a time of fellowship and community right there in the gym. Our staff and leaders would love to meet you and say hi. Don't forget to pick up your kids first!
