Welcome

Welcome to Valley Community Baptist Church. We are one church in multiple locations with campuses in Avon and Bristol, CT. Our mission is to honor God and grow in Christ by worshipping God, equipping believers, bringing people to Christ and serving our neighbors. We would be honored to have you join us

Worship Service Times & Styles

Each weekend, there are six worship services in two locations: Sundays at 10 a.m. at Greene-Hills School in Bristol. Saturdays at 5 p.m. and Sundays at 8, 9:30, and 11:15 a.m in the Sanctuary in Avon. There's also a service at 11:15 a.m. at the Avon Campus in The Venue. There are communal dinners on most Saturday and Tuesday evenings at the Avon Campus. We also meet as small groups and classes throughout the week.  We look forward to meeting you.

Locations

Avon: 590 West Avon Road, Avon, Connecticut. Get directions and contact information.

Bristol: 718 Pine Street, Bristol Connecticut. We meet at Greene-Hills School in Bristol.

Children & Students

We encourage families to worship together on the weekend, and then choose children's programs and communities for middle school and high school students. During the week, we offer age-specific clubs and gatherings for children, middle school and high school students

There are also special events like summer camps, student retreats and the family summit that will help children and parents grow in their relationships with each other and God.

Sermons

At Valley Community Baptist Church, we value knowing the truth of God and obeying His Word. Senior Pastor Jay Abramson is the lead teaching pastor. We invite you to listen to the latest sermon series.

Summer Bible Club

2017 Summer Bible Club: June 26-30

GET THE MUSIC TODAY ON CD OR DVD

A big part of each Summer Bible Club is the music -- upbeat songs with great messages and fun body motions that your kids (and you!) will remember all summer. You and your kids can get familiar with the music by purchasing a CD or DVD. Both are available now by purchasing online at the link below. After placing your order, you can pick up the materials at the Children's Ministry desk at the Avon Campus or the Welcome Table at the Bristol Campus. The DVD (with videos and motions) is $15. The CD is just $5.

CAMP DETAILS

Our theme this year is "Maker Fun Factory: Created by God. Built for a Purpose." This summer we will help unleash the curious side of each of your children, from age 4 through fifth grade, as we discover why God made each of us the way He did.

Each year, between 350 and 400 students from the community attend Valley's summer camp. Once again, our Summer Bible Club will feature games, crafts, interactive Bible stories, age-appropriate application, snacks, and fun dance-along music to expend some of that daytime energy! Over 100 volunteers, from teens to seniors, will be on hand to ensure your child has the best camp experience possible.

The camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon each day and is for children ages 4 (by Dec. 31, 2016) to Grade 5 (completed). Summer Bible Club takes place on the church grounds at our Avon Campus, located at 590 West Avon Road. Registration is now closed for this event

QUESTIONS? NEED MORE INFORMATION?

Feel free to email Paul Semanski, Associate Director of Children's Ministry, with your questions or concerns.

MISSIONS PROJECT

Each year, children are encouraged to bring loose change from home to contribute to a special missions project. Last year, including a matching contribution from Valley, the kids and their families raised $6,000 for a Kids Alive missionary in Haiti, serving and rescuing at-risk children.

This year, we will be raising money for Converge and LIMBS International, two organizations partnering to operate a prosthetics and outreach clinic in Turkey serving Syrian and Iraqi refugees. Valley Community Baptist Church is affiliated with Converge.

Volunteer

Join our terrific Summer Bible Club volunteer team! Volunteer opportunities include making baked goods, guiding small groups of campers and assisting with crafts, games, music, and drama.
