Welcome to Valley Community Baptist Church. We are one church in multiple locations with campuses in Avon and Bristol, CT. Our mission is to honor God and grow in Christ by worshipping God, equipping believers, bringing people to Christ and serving our neighbors. We would be honored to have you join us

Children & Students

We encourage families to worship together on the weekend, and then choose children's programs and communities for middle school and high school students. During the week, we offer age-specific clubs and gatherings for children, middle school and high school students

There are also special events like summer camps, student retreats and the family summit that will help children and parents grow in their relationships with each other and God.

At Valley Community Baptist Church, we value knowing the truth of God and obeying His Word. Senior Pastor Jay Abramson is the lead teaching pastor. We invite you to listen to the latest sermon series.

Fall Class & Group Descriptions

Parenting Group: Getting a little help to be a better parent is a good thing. Videos and discussion are used to sharpen your parenting and relationship skills.

Women's Bible Study | Jeannette Brennan:  Join us as we study 1 Corinthians, featuring video teachings from Jennie Allen. This Bible study will help you discover what it means to live a risky, others-centered life. Book cost is $17.

Precept Women's Bible Study | LuAnn Turbiak: "Galatians - Who Has Bewitched You? Why and How?" As the good news of Jesus spread across the Roman world, Jews and Gentiles were becoming believers. A struggle began over what it meant to be a Christian and live under grace. Galatians clearly defines the relationship between law and grace, and how Christians live under grace. Book cost is $17.  REGISTER HERE

Second Coming Prophecy: Conditions unfolding throughout the world seem to support the theory that Jesus Christ is returning soon. Without speculating or setting dates for His return, we will consider the fascinating topic from biblically-centered perspectives.

Prayer Group: Do you enjoy praying for others? The team prays for the prayer requests turned in during the worship services. Ongoing.

ESL Class: Learn conversational English by speaking with friendly ESL instructors about everyday topics. This class is free for adults who speak other languages.  REGISTER HERE

101 Connect: 101 Connect starts you on the "Spiritual Growth Path" and focuses on your relationship with Jesus, Valley's vision and values, and the responsibilities and expectations of those who call Valley home. It also serves as Valley's membership class. October 1 - October 22.

Community Bible Study: CBS will study Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers this fall. These books tell the story of how God delivered His chosen people, the Israelites, from Egyptian slavery and established them as a new nation. They also tell the story of God’s faithfulness to weak and sinful people like us. Themes for application to our lives include doubt and faith, complaining and grace, crisis and intercession, and failure and repentance. Community Bible Study meets from September to May on Thursdays at 9:15 a.m. To register, email Kathy Zirolli or call 860.673.8852. Starts September 12.

ESL Bible Study (Women) | Val Prado, Sandy Martin: meets the first and third Thursday of each month from 10-11:45 a.m. in the Library at the Avon Campus. There is a focus on reading comprehension and conversation as together we study "Traveling Light" by Max Lucado. No registration required. For more information, contact Val Prado.
