Welcome to Valley Community Baptist Church. We are one church in multiple locations with campuses in Avon and Bristol, CT. Our mission is to honor God and grow in Christ by worshipping God, equipping believers, bringing people to Christ and serving our neighbors. We would be honored to have you join us

Worship Service Times & Styles

We worship together on Saturdays at 5 p.m. and Sundays at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m in the Sanctuary in Avon. There's also a service at 10:30 a.m. at the Avon Campus in The Venue. There are communal dinners on most Saturday and Tuesday evenings at the Avon Campus. We also meet as small groups and classes throughout the week.  We look forward to meeting you.

Avon: 590 West Avon Road, Avon, Connecticut. Get directions and contact information.

Bristol: 718 Pine Street, Bristol Connecticut. We meet at Greene-Hills School in Bristol.

Children & Students

We encourage families to worship together on the weekend, and then choose children's programs and communities for middle school and high school students. During the week, we offer age-specific clubs and gatherings for children, middle school and high school students

There are also special events like summer camps, student retreats and the family summit that will help children and parents grow in their relationships with each other and God.

You're Invited This Easter ... 

 

Easter is a special time at Valley Community Baptist Church. If you're looking for a place of worship to visit, or just curious about church, you will be warmly welcomed at any of our three locations. Our faith communities look and sound a little different from place to place, but we are united in our mission to honor God and grow in Christ. Here's the Easter information for each of our locations:

 

 

Valley Avon

 

WHEN:  We have four service times for Resurrection Weekend at Valley Avon: Saturday, April 20, at 5 p.m.; Sunday, April 21, at 7:45, 9:30, and 11:15 a.m.

WHERE:  Valley Community Baptist Church, 590 W. Avon Road, Avon

STYLE:  All but one service features a great live band playing contemporary music. The 11:15 a.m. service in the Sanctuary features an orchestra, choir, and organ. (There will also be a contemporary service in The Venue at 11:15.) Lyrics for all services are shown on a video screen. Dress as casually or formally as you want!

FOR THE KIDS:  The Saturday service has children's classes for Nursery through Kindergarten. The 7:45 a.m. Sunday service provides childcare for kids 3 and under. The 9:30 and 11:15 services feature children's classes for Nursery through Grade 5. Come check out our amazing teachers and kids!

THE SPEAKER:  Senior Pastor Jay Abramson will be sharing a special teaching for Easter Sunday, focused on the evidence of Jesus' resurrection.  Click here to watch Jay's message from a recent message about fear.

Valley Bristol

 

 WHEN:  The Valley Bristol Easter Service is Sunday, April 21, at 10 a.m.

WHERE:  Greene-Hills School, 718 Pine St., Bristol.

STYLE:  We have a great live band playing contemporary music. Lyrics are shown on a video screen. Dress as casually or formally as you want!

FOR THE KIDS:  Each week, Valley Bristol offers high-quality classroom environments during the service for kids in Nursery through Grade 5. We're finalizing our Easter Sunday plans soon!

GOOD FRIDAY: Valley Bristol is combining with Bridge Community Church for a Good Friday Service at 7 p.m. on April 19. Bridge Community Church is at 43 School Street in Bristol.

Valley Simsbury

 

WHEN:  The Valley Simsbury Easter Service is Sunday, April 21, at 10:30 a.m.

WHERE:  Eno Memorial Hall, 754 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury.

STYLE:  We have a great live band playing contemporary music. Lyrics are shown on a video screen. Dress as casually or formally as you want!

FOR THE KIDS:  Age-appropriate learning environments for children in preschool and younger. Kids in Kindergarten and older will stay in the family-friendly service for Easter. (Children's classes available at regular Valley Simsbury gatherings.)

THE SPEAKER:  Valley Simsbury Pastor Mark Woof will be sharing a special teaching for Easter Sunday on the Parable of the Prodigal Son. Click here to watch Mark's message from a recent series on questions we all have about Christianity.

GOOD FRIDAY:  Valley Simsbury attenders are encouraged to attend one of the Good Friday Services at Valley Avon, scheduled for 6 and 8 p.m. on April 19. Valley Avon is located at 590 W. Avon Road.
