Recommending Members to Leadership Roles
The recommendation process is an important part of choosing leaders in our church, one that is not to be taken lightly. The biblical qualifications for church leaders are all characteristics of godliness and giftedness that are proven over time; an individual’s character becomes plainly evident through long-term patterns of behavior. Therefore, the Nominating Committee invites your prayerful consideration of individuals you feel would be good candidates for leadership positions at Valley Community Baptist Church.
To recommend a church member to a leadership role, please do the following:
1. Study the role descriptions listed below; focusing on the listed qualifications.
2. Please spend a concerted time in prayer over the names of people you feel could be good
candidates. As a church, it is our desire to see God move and motivate His people to serve
within their God-given sweet spots.
3. Once you have prayed over the leadership role, if you have a viable candidate, we ask you to
please complete the recommendation form below.
To recommend someone for a position below, please submit a Recommendation Form

Disclaimer: The Nominating Committee appreciates the recommendations for leadership positions made by the congregation. However, the Nominating Committee has been charged with responsibility for completing the list of nominees. Please be advised that not all of those recommended will be asked to serve. In order to provide continuity among committees, the length of some terms may be staggered.
