Register for Tuesday Clubs.

Tuesday evenings are designed for the family: parents and children through Grade 5. Dinner is offered from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Also, Weekday Courses for adults are offered at the same time as clubs.

Children can have fun while growing in their faith through three clubs:

> Young Explorers / Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.
This high energy club for Kindergartners helps boys and girls explore God's Word and the
world around them through stories, exploration around the church, singing, games, crafts and
more. We seek to find creative ways for children to learn some foundational truths about God.
The activities also foster appropriate classroom and relationship skills.

> P31 GEMS Girls' Club / Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.
Based on a passage from Proverbs 31, this club for girls in Grades 1-5 is designed to help them
develop godly character while having fun and making friends. Club time is full of fun projects,
lessons, discussion and presentations. Highlights of the year include game nights, social events,
bring-a-friend days and a special mother/daughter tea. Each girl is given a sterling silver bracelet
for participating in the club. She can collect charms as she memorizes verses from Proverbs 31
   and completes special projects.

> Boys' Brigade / Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.
Led by Christian men, this is an action-packed club with projects, games and lessons for boys in
Grades 1-5 to help them become true Christ-followers. Most meetings start out with an active
game followed by either a large-group project time or classroom time. One highlight of this
program is the Pinewood Derby race held in May. Each boy makes his own car to race against
others. The boys also have social outings with their fathers, such as a bowling-and-pizza night or
   attending a ball game.

Parent/Child Dedications

Parent/Child Dedication is typically offered three times a year at Valley — once in the fall, in February and on Mother's Day.

This is an opportunity for parents to make a public declaration that they want God's perfect will to be established in the raising of their child and a chance for the church family to make a commitment to support the families in this task.

A six-week parenting class called Starting Point is a pre-requisite for dedicating your child. It is offered once in the Fall and once in the Spring during our adult Weekday Courses. Learn more and register for Starting Point.

The next Parent/Child Dedication will take place on October 22 & 23, 2011.
Note: While we try to schedule your child's Dedication for your preferred service, we may ask you to pick another service depending on the number of requests for a particular time.

Ongoing Ministries

> Moms of Preschoolers (MOPS)
MOPS is an international organization designed to meet the needs of mothers of young children.
The goals of MOPS are to provide support and encouragement from other moms who understand
the challenges of raising young children, celebrate motherhood and experience God’s love
through relationships and resources. The meetings occur two Mondays per month from 9:30-11:30
   a.m., September – May.
Find out more and register. Contact: AVONMOPS@comcast.net.

> MOPPETS
This ministry supports the MOPS program. We care for the children, while mothers attend the
MOPS meeting. The program includes an age-appropriate curriculum rich with the basic teachings
of the Bible, music and craft activities. Teachers are trained and supervised by a team leader.

Helping Hearts is a group of women who get together the first, third and fifth Tuesday from
4:15 - 5:30 p.m. at Valley to serve and pray.
They can be found working on jobs behind the
scenes to support the Children's Ministry as they support each other.

> Children’s Library Hours: Saturdays from 6:30 - 6:50 p.m. and Sundays 10:30 - 11 a.m. All
children are welcome to receive a library card and check out any of the over 3,000 books, DVDs
